Ah, remember I'm German. In my German classes, we mostly read books about the Holocaust. In my English class, we read books like Johnny Got His Gun and Grapes of Wrath. Something like Fahrenheit 451, for all it would have fit in, couldn't have been farther from the syllabus. (On a different note, we did ask for something more lighthearted once. We got One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest out of it. -.-)

So many good authors are missing! And I can't get over Bradbury, Asimov, Heinlein etc. being on there like, a gazillion times, whereas you have to look to find a woman. No Young Adult, my ass.
